Privacy Policy

Dexel is a small product from a small team. We try to collect only what we need to run the service, keep it for as long as we need it, and tell you plainly what happens with it.

Who we are

“Dexel,” “we,” or “us” refers to the operator of https://dexel.in. You can reach us any time at hello@dexel.in.

What we collect

Account & profile. Email address (via password sign-up or Google), and the profile fields you choose to fill in — handle, display name, pronouns, location, bio, craft tags, social links, avatar, and banner.
Content you create. The pixel you claim, the images and items you place on your canvas, and any messages you send to other designers or to the community room.
Technical signals.Authentication tokens stored in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in, plus ordinary server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) used to diagnose problems and prevent abuse.

Why we collect it

To authenticate you and keep your session alive across visits.
To render your public profile, your pixel, and your canvas to other visitors of Dexel.
To deliver private messages between designers in real time.
To investigate bugs, abuse, or service outages.

Where it lives

We use a small set of trusted processors. We do not sell your data.

Supabase — authentication and primary database.
Google— only when you choose “Continue with Google.” We receive your name, email, and avatar URL from Google’s OAuth response.
Cloudinary — hosting and delivery of images you upload (avatars, banners, pixel art, canvas items, message attachments).

What other people see

Your handle, display name, public profile fields, your pixel, and the contents of your public canvas are visible to anyone who visits Dexel. Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient. Posts in the community room are visible to all signed-in members.

Your rights

You can update or remove most of your profile information from inside the app. To export everything we hold about you, or to ask us to delete your account and all associated content, email hello@dexel.in from the address tied to your account. We will action the request within 30 days.

Children

Dexel is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice in the app before they take effect.
